Gas Stove vs Induction Cooker vs Ceramic Cooker

Thinking to change the poor gas stove to Induction/Ceramic cooker.  Hence, i have searching some information about those application. What i can summarize is all items have their own advantages and disadvantages.  Lets we discuss about it now and welcome to comments on it.

Gas Stove

Advantages:
a) Price  - The price of gas stove is much cheaper (<RM500) compare to induction/ceramic cooker.
b) Electricity/Gas - Cost of gas much cheaper compare to  electricity.  1 gas cylinder cost around RM27~ RM30.
c) Time - It is faster response to heat up/ cook the food.
d) Taste of food - Some chef comment that the taste is better compare to induction/ceramic cooker.
e) Flexibility - It is more easy to replace/changed if the gas stove is malfunction and cost is lower.
f) Health - No radiation mean no cancers.
g) Pots - any materials.

Disadvantages:
a) Safety - It is possible create explosion if the user is very careless.  e.g. gas leaking, over cook without knowledge, never inspect the condition of gas stove.
b) Out of gas - cannot cook.
c) Cleaning - it is difficult to clean up compare to induction/Ceramic cooker.
d) Life time - Short.


Induction Cooker

Advantages:
a) Safety - It will not explosion because there is earth faulty relay and over heating protection. Safe for children who prepare their instant noodles.
b) Cleaning - It easy like 1...2...3.
c) More function - timer,  touch control system, LED display.
d) Comfortable - Not need to call for people to send gas cylinder; e.g. If housewife is alone, and some "ONE" send the gas cylinder to her house...
e) Life time - long (1 year warranty) depend on their spec. and your luck.

Disadvantages:
a) Price - Expensive (>RM1500) compare to gas stove and cheaper/similar to ceramic cooker.
b) Electricity/Gas - Cost of electricity is expensive than gas.
c)Time - It is slower than gas stove but faster than ceramic cooker.
d) Taste of food - Some chef comment that the taste is worse compare to gas stove.
e) Flexibility - Replace/changed - you need to depend on the company's service.  Maybe, you not need to cook for 1 week or more than that...
f) Health - Radiation.
g) Power breakdown - not electricity mean no hope! Strongly recommend don't use it in rural place.
h) Power supply - instability of power supply 240Vac to your house will cause the device malfunction. (Told by the salesman)
i) Pots - metal and electrical conductor only.



Ceramic Cooker

Advantages:
a) Safety - It will not explosion because there is earth faulty relay and over heating protection.
b) Cleaning - It easy like 1...2...3.
c) More function - timer,  touch control system, LED display and inverter to maintain the temperature.
d) Comfortable - Not need to call for people to send gas cylinder; e.g. if you stay at Condo/Apartment, how you carry the gas cylinder to your unit (Lazy.... cause it is heavy).
e) Life time - long (1 year warranty) depend on their spec. and your luck.


Disadvantages:
a) Price - Expensive (>RM1500) compare to gas stove and cheaper/similar to induction cooker.
b) Electricity/Gas - Cost of electricity is expensive than gas.
c)Time - It is slowest than gas stove and induction cooker.

Any others comments on it, please update me because i am struggle to change or to maintain back to use gas stove... So far, i have changed a least 4 times gas stoves price around (RM80 - RM150) and change gas tube a least 3 times. (RM30 - RM50).
