The induction cooking has more powerful heating than gas cooktop due to the perfect contact region and no wastage of energy. Personally I've used electrical cook top for many years and I find them very efficient and no problem with taste or what-so-ever which your salesman mentioned. As with all cook top, needs time to adjust and get use to them. Most first time user of electrical/induction cook top will tends to burnt the food as they are not use to the controls. Practice makes perfect! =) I love electrical or induction cooking as cleaning is a breeze.
