One day,
My friend picks me up and drives to office.
We are driving toward a toll station.
We stop behind a Volvo car.
She is trying to use her touch n go card.
But, it looks the system cannot recognize her card.
My friend act as heroes and come down from his car.
And, use his Touch n go card and touch the system.
The gate is open and the girl thank to him and drive away.
When my friend starts his car and try to use the card again.
It is not responding anymore.
Not choice... we have to press the intercom.
The operator told us, you should reverse and drive to another lane.
Touch n go card only apply for the system once?
Maybe, it will reset the memory of Touch n Go ID after certain times.
Do you will act like my friend helps that girl?

We Malaysians are a friendly lot. I'm sure most of us will help. Touch & Go reminded me of a Singaporean Professor who stopped at the toll, and touched the touch&go platform with his hand and expecting to be let through. Siao kan?

No Touch & Go here...dunno. Only pay toll to cross bridge - RM3.00 but anytime better than last time, using a ferry - RM1.00. Queue one mile long, waiting under the hot sun, engine running...and very often rosak - one ferry running. Glad all that is gone now!!!
How come? Same thing happened to me one car got 'stuck' in front *no card wrong lane ish ish ish* and the toll assistant asked for a ringgit from him, gave it to me and 'borrowed' my card. When come my turn its OK ah. BTW you guys aware that Touch n Go offers a 20% extra as a reward if you TnG more than 80 times in a month during each reload? Not sure when the offer gonna end~;) tQ.
Your friend did the right thing instead of the lady reversing to change lane would be a total waste of time and create more jams. tQ.
I never help.. but I was 'helped' once when I stuck at the Cheras toll... this young man came down from his car and tap his T&G instead...

Same like my cousin sister's experience. She helped the car in front of her but she was unable to use her card once the car left.

I think it's because the touch n go system are set to be in once, out once, only consider one time. means U cant go in go the toll for the second time without paying the the going out fee. But the problem is, like that how's the girl gonna go out of her destination toll? LOL
The girl must be pretty. :P I would just reverse the car lor..haha. I asked my Hubby about your Touch and Go experience, he said memang cannot use 2nd time at the same toll coz there is some security feature wor.

hmmm, could be some security feature in Touch-n-Go?? they won't allow you to use the card within short period at the same system??
wow, if got lots of car queuing behind then really very troublesome to reverse already lor.. there should be the toll people coming over to help right??

We had a new experience with TnG last week too... the display showed "kad tamat tempoh" when we tried to enter the Sg Besi toll... We didn't know TnG card will expire one. We have been using it for about 10 years, i think.
Your friend is so nice and gentleman.
For me and my husband, we will tried our best way to reverse our car and use another lane, hehe.
